The intoxicating scent of juniper berries enfolds your senses as soon as you open the bag, with lavender and yarrow soothing your mind as you prepare this sacred bath tea. Enjoy the aroma of a forest hot spring filling your home as you simmer the wild herbs. When you pour the infused essence of the wilderness into your bath, you will create a forest bathing experience that rejuvenates body, mind, and spirit.

I ethically harvest wild herbs in the mountains of Montana to create a unique and powerful experience. Wild herbs from high-altitudes are stronger and contain higher concentrations of active constituents due to the harsh climate. Herbs that I cannot forage wild in these mountains are ethically sourced from other areas of Montana or from northern New Mexico from indigenous wild-crafters and organic small farmers.

Great river horsetail is an ancient herb, well known for healing kidney and bladder afflictions through its high concentration of silicic acid (up to 16%), silicates, potassium, aluminum, and manganese, along with fifteen different types of flavonoids. I have found it profoundly effective in also healing skin infections and soothing menstrual cramps, urinary tract infections (UTIs), and fever aches. Juniper berries are antimicrobial and antifungal, with juniper seed oil providing soothing and calming properties. Breathing the steam provides relief from sinus infections, allergies, and respiratory illnesses. Lavender lifts mood and combats stress, anxiety, and muscle tension.  Feather mosses (brachythecium) have been used since the Middle Ages to bandage wounds, and were studied during WWI for their superior outcomes in preventing infection. Efforts to extract and concentrate antibiotic compounds were stopped with the discovery of penicillin. Soaking in moss tea is cooling and calming to inflamed skin of any kind. Yarrow baths stimulate blood flow and lower blood pressure, and the herb has long been known as a helpful ally in soothing lower pelvic cramping and pain.*

Add 1/2 cup to a pot with cold water. Bring to a boil, then simmer on low for at least 15 minutes. Strain into bath water. Scoop boiled herbs into cloth bag (provided) and add closed bag to bath. You may also add an additional cup of plain Epsom salt, or essential oils and tinctures of your choice, to boost the therapeutic action.

10 stars, really

This soak has a special place in my heart. It was the first thing that holistically treated a very stressful chronic dermatitis situation. It helped my skin, my body's ability to detox, and I was able to truly relax - an essential component of healing that had been elusive for a long time. Within a week of taking regular baths, the issue I had been struggling with for months was visibly reduced and eventually disappeared entirely. The scent of this soak is magical. The entire experience is a treasure.

All time favorite bath soak

Sends you straight to the forest for healing and deep relaxation. The process of boiling it on the stove first and then straining into the bath is even relaxing because it smells so wonderful! plus the little cloth bag comes with it, so the strained herbs can be in the bath without making a mess - pure genius. Hands down this is my favorite bath soak ever.
